Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
TidyBee (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the TidyBee mobile application (the “App”).
Information we collect
Email address. We collect your email address when you create an account. It is used for sign-in, account management, and important service-related messages.
Camera and photos. The App asks for camera access so you can photograph your storage containers, and for photo library access if you choose a profile picture. Photos you scan are sent to our AI service to identify and list the items in them. Cropped photos of the items you save are stored with your inventory until you delete them or your account.
NFC. With your permission, the App uses your device’s NFC to read and write tags attached to your containers. Tag data is used only to link physical containers to their records in the App.
Container data. We store the containers you create, including their names, the items in them, and related details, to provide the App’s core features.
Subscriptions. If you subscribe to TidyBee Pro, Apple processes the payment. We store your subscription status and the receipt Apple provides so we can verify it. We never receive your payment card details.
Usage limits. We keep a record of your recent AI scans to apply the free plan’s weekly limit.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account
- To provide, maintain, and improve the App’s features
- To process photos through our AI service to identify items
- To link NFC tags to your container records
- To verify subscriptions and apply plan limits
- To communicate with you about your account or the service
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with third-party services only as necessary to operate the App (for example, AI image processing and cloud hosting and storage). These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data.
Our website and ads
The page we link to from TikTok ads (tidybee.co/tiktok) uses the TikTok Pixel. It tells TikTok when someone arriving from an ad views that page or taps its App Store button, so we can measure our ads. To do this, TikTok may set a cookie and receive your IP address, browser and device details, and the ad you came from, under TikTok’s privacy policy. The App doesn’t contain the TikTok Pixel or any advertising SDK, and we don’t share your account, inventory or photos with advertisers.
Data security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account at any time in the App (Profile → Settings → Delete account), which deletes your containers, items, and stored photos. You can also ask us to delete it by contacting us.
Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App or on our website.
